It was a beautiful sight to behold as the National Leadership of the Young Ladies Ministry met with all the leaders of the Ministry drawn from the various Areas and Circuits of the Church’s five (5) main territories in the Greater Accra Region. In attendance were the Chairman of the Christ Apostolic Church Int., Apostle Samuel Amponsah-Frimpong, the General Secretary, Apostle Dr. Samuel Addai-Kusi, and the Christian Education Director, Apostle Dr. Robert Asumado Kyeremeh.
In his keynote address, the Chairman of the Christ Apostolic Church International, Apostle Samuel Amponsah-Frimpong, commended the National Leadership of the Young Ladies Ministry for organizing such a meeting. He further indicated that Article 19(6) 2018 Constitution of the Church, created for the first in the Church’s history, the Young Ladies for Christ Ministry. He added that the Constitution restricted the operations of the Ministry only to the local assemblies. He cited that the core objective of this Ministry is to Organize the young ladies in the Church and train them to pursue their talents in Christ.
The Chairman additionally indicated that he believes that the Young Ladies Ministry in the church represents the future of the church since it is composed of young and energetic visionary women. Many of these ladies, he noted, are highly educated and well-endowed with many skill sets and great gifts. These Young ladies are people who love the church and want to contribute their quota to the development and growth of the church to the glory of God.
The Chairman further indicated that it is for the above reason that the Executive Council appointed a formidable national leadership to steer the affairs of the ministry. He assured the gathering that the Executive Council is ever ready to give the support the budding ministry may reasonably require to grow to greater heights.
The National Leadership of the Ministry headed by Mrs. Mary Nagatey could not hide her joy. In a brief address, she described the formation of the Young Ladies for Christ Ministry as ‘a new dawn in the church that has come to stay.’ Mrs. Nagatey therefore encouraged the young ladies in the church to advantage of the new window opened by the Executive Council to build capacities for greater impact. She further indicated that the meeting is to allow the National Leadership to share their vision with all the leaders gathered. She added that the outcome of the meeting would help standardize the operations of the Young Ladies Ministry at all levels of the church.
The National leader hinted that this leadership engagement will be replicated at the various territories of the Church nationwide.
The other National Leaders are; Mrs Adwoa Kwarteng-Asamoah (Secretary), Mrs. Akosua Serwaa Appiah (Financial Secretary), Mrs. Mercy Oware Boateng (Organizing Secretary), Mrs. Juliet Amoah Asante (Evangelism Secretary), Mrs. Esther Oti- Boateng (Prayer Secretary), and Dr. Mrs. Ruth Asamany (Management Member).
Both the First and the second ladies of the church took turns to address the young ladies. The First Lady, Mrs Josephine Amponsah-Frimpong, shared three key points with the ladies and encouraged them to have Faith in God, believe in themselves, and act with confidence. The second lady, Mrs. Dora Addai-Kusi, admonished all the ladies to seize the opportunity of the Young Ladies Ministry to build their capacities for the future.
