“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” (Romans 6:14)
The children of Israel were given the law but, in as much as they wanted to obey the law, they found themselves disobeying it. The law could not save them from sinning.
In other words, sin was having dominion over them even though they had the law. Jesus Christ came and fulfilled the law, and also instituted grace (Ephesians 2:15).
Beloved, grace is a special favor and ability that empowers you to follow the Word of God out of love for Jesus Christ. This enables you to have dominion over sin.
As a child of God, you have grace at work in you; therefore, don’t compromise on sin and entertain it. It is a door of the enemy to gain entrance into your life.
Take advantage of the grace you have in Christ and remain in holiness for the Lord, and you shall experience divine blessings from Him.
Remember that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23). So the consequences of sin, such as diseases, disappointments, failure, death, etc., will prevail in your life if you compromise sin.
On the other hand, if you take advantage of grace to live in righteousness, joy, peace, and prosperity will be your portion. Hallelujah! God bless you!
Dear Father, thank You for sending Jesus Christ to fulfil the law, and also institute grace. I take advantage of grace to live in righteousness in order to enjoy peace, joy, and prosperity. Please give me the insight to always identify sin and avoid it to the glory of Your Name. Amen!
