“The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” (Psalms 18:2)
Your level of intimacy with the LORD opens your understanding to know Who the LORD is. The psalmist knew the LORD as his rock, fortress, deliverer, strength, buckler, salvation, and high tower.
Being his rock shows that God is dependable, and God as a fortress gave him protection from all forms of attack.
He enjoyed deliverance from God and God provided him the strength to overcome all weaknesses. God became his buckler to arm him to fight his enemies and his salvation to give him comfort and provisions. He was a high tower to give him revelation and direction.
Dear beloved, get intimate with the LORD through devotion, fellowship, and meditation on His Word, and you will discover the infinite nature of God. You will, therefore, agree with the psalmist and keep trusting God for great things (Proverbs 3:5–6). Praise the Lord!!
