Elder Emmanuel Kenneth Abankwah was born on 29th January 1968. After a successful and brilliant primary education, he attended the Kwahu Ridge Secondary and obtained his ‘O’ level certificate in 1987 after which he proceeded to the Suhum Sec/Tec. for his ‘A’ level certificate in 1989. Elder Abankwah also holds a BSc. In Chemistry (1991-1994) and a MSc. Analytical Chemistry (1996-1999) from the UST, Kumasi.
He began his professional career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Science and Technology in Kumasi from 1997 to 1999 then as a lecturer at the Kumasi Polytechnic from 1999 to 2000. He entered the corporate world in 2000 as a Quality Control Manager at Major & CO.MFG (Ghana) Ltd. From January 2001 to August 2001, he served as a Senior Scientific Officer at the Ghana Standard Authority. He later on in the same year joined the Tema Oil Refinery as the Head of finished product of the Quality Control Department until 2009 when he was appointed Ag. Manager of the same department from 2009 to 2011. He is currently the manager of the Waste Water Treatment Plant of the Tema Oil Refinery, a position he holds since 2011.
A devoted Christian, Elder Abankwah has served the Church since his youthful time first as a youth secretary of the Ashaiman Central Assembly from 2000-2003 and was later on ordained a deacon and secretary of the said Assembly from 20003-2007. He is currently serving as the Presiding Elder of the Ashaiman Central Assembly and as Area Elder of the Area. His dedication and astounding leadership skills led to his appointment as General Elder of the Christ Apostolic Church International and thus a member of the National Executive Council of the current administration in the year 2019.
